Portugal Overview
Portugal is a country situated on the Iberian Peninsula in south-western Europe. The country also includes two Atlantic archipelagos - the Azores and Madeira. It is the westernmost country of mainland Europe and borders Spain to the north and east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west and south. Portugal's official name is the Portuguese Republic. It's capital and largest city is Lisbon (Lisboa in Portugese), while the other notable cities include Porto, Braga and Coimbra. |
