1. Use specific words and phrases. Instead of searching for hotels, you can look directly for a specific location. For example: Rome bed and breakfast or bed and breakfast Rome.

2. Use quotes to search for specific terms. Encirclement of the expression with quotation marks limits the search results to only those ads that contain an exact match of the expression that you specified. Without quotes the results will include any website containing at least one of the words you used, regardless of the order in which they are posted, with the directory entries more precisely meeting your criteria to be displayed first.

3. Try searching with different keywords. A website title or description may be written in many different ways. For best results, consider what words would be used by the people submitted the site to describe what they want or offer. Try searching with various combinations of a few words.

4. Always check the spelling of your search keywords.

5. For best results, use the advanced search. Through it you can set the most precise criteria and find desired sites easily. You can search by one or simultaneously by all these parameters:

- Keyword(s) - searches in sites' titles, as well as in descriptions and keywords (if provided)
- Search in: you can specify to search in all fields or in a specific field;
- Countries: when you search by specific state;
- Search only a specific category or sub category.
